Submission Guidelines

Prior to sending us a submission, please read through the guidelines carefully. Also, feel free to consult our profiles to determine if your novel is a good fit for us.

FQP is an environmentally friendly company, and will only receive submitted manuscripts through email at submissions@firequillpublishers.com or contact us via the contact form

TIPS BEFORE SENDING US YOUR MANUSCRIPT

At FQP we strive to only publish the best. A well-edited manuscript is required, along with the following:

We are in search of YA, NA, Adult
Genres: Fantasy, Romance, Paranormal, thrillers, mystery, horror, MG and Children’s stories.

Manuscript guidelines:
Please read guidelines below before submitting your work. 

A query letter, no more than 250 words, with the novel’s genre and total word count.

Subject line should read as follows: Query/Novella Query, and the title and name of author.

eg. Query: STARSTRUCK BY ADRIENNE WOODS

Attach your 1 page synopsis, including your first five pages.

If we ask for more chapters, they should be attached in the following way:

Preferred File Type: .doc, .docx or .rtf
Font Options: Times New Roman or Arial, 12pt.
Line Spacing: Double spaced.
Formatting: .5 indents to first lines, no tab replacements.

Novella Guidelines:

• 5k – 45k words.
• Times New Roman or Arial 12pt.
• 0.5 indents to first lines, no tab replacements.

We don’t accept screen plays or poetry at this time. If you feel your submission will be perfect for Fire Quill Publishers but don’t see your genre above, don’t hesitate to send in a query. We love well written, and amazing stories, no matter the genre.

Please do not be discouraged, as it may take up to six weeks to receive an answer back from us.

We attempt to get back on all our submissions, but if you haven’t received any communication from us after eight weeks, please feel free to send us a message.
